Children lit up the skies of Freshford on Saturday with the Hollyhocks Kindergarten and Seedlings annual Lantern Festival.
The Festival of Light, past of the tradition of Martinmas, saw the children carrying paper lanterns they had decorated around the village with their parents, after singing songs relating to light in Freshford Village Hall.
Hollyhocks committee member Claire Thomas, said: “This tradition has been going on for 14 years. We were lucky the weather was good and it was a great visual display.
“I hope the children will remember the magical scene and we would like to keep this tradition going.”
