Vintage vehicle enthusiasts braved wet weather for their annual gathering at the Duke car park in Bratton last Saturday, with money raised going to the Poppy Appeal.
The Vintage Classic Vehicle Gathering, now in its third year, sees owners of classic cars, buses, vans, motor bikes and stationary engines come together to show off their prized possessions.
This year, vehicles taking part included a 1932 Bentley, a classic Cadillac and a Model T Ford, as well as a couple of Vespa scooters and a Willys Army Jeep.
Event organiser John Drewett said: “It was a shame that the weather was a bit miserable, but I think most of the people who came along had a good time.
“There was a great range of vehicles and, as well as the classic cars, we had two or three tractors and our first lorry, which made it different from previous gatherings.
“A lot of the people that have these vehicles don’t like taking them out when it’s raining, for obvious reasons, but we still had lots of people come along, and some from as far as Great Bedwyn.
“We have never advertised the event that widely, but it’s nice that it has grown over the years and people seem to appreciate it, especially as it is pretty much the last meet up of the year.”
Mike Swabey, chairman of the Wiltshire Royal British Legion, attended the gathering.
Proceeds from the event will not be known until this weekend.
