YOUTH theatre members from Trowbridge are off to Salisbury this weekend to appear in A Sting in the Tale, the first Stage 65 production at Salisbury Playhouse to involve a full group from the new Trowbridge branch.
Stage 65 has been running workshops at Trowbridge Town Hall every Monday since last year, under the Trowbridge Arts umbrella, and on Friday six young actors will present work they have devised, based on traditional fairy tales and folk stories.
The three-night showcase, which begins on Thursday, involves all 280 Stage 65 members. A different selection of work that has been prepared in weekly workshops will be presented at each performance. Members of the youth theatre are aged between 5 and 25.
A Sting in the Tale will be performed on Thursday, November 14 and Friday,November 15 at 7.30pm with a matinee performance on Saturday, November 16 at 1pm. For tickets or other enquiries please contact the box office on 01722 320333 or visit www.salisburyplayhouse.com
