A family counselling charity in Trowbridge celebrated its 75th anniversary by holding a tea party at its AGM last Friday.
Guests and trustees of Relate Mid Wiltshire, which provides counselling in Chippenham, Devizes, Frome, Shepton Mallet, Tidworth and Trowbridge, joined the party, and met Chippenham MP Duncan Hames.
He praised their work, saying: “Families across Wiltshire rely on the support of charities and the voluntary sector, especially when they are going through difficult times. I am very grateful people have been able to depend on Relate and I hope it continues to go from strength to strength.”
Roy Zaman, commandant at the Services Cotswold Centre, gave a personal insight into the issues and challenges facing service families helped by the centre.
