Trowbridge Arts Festival has pulled in thousands of people, despite being in only its second year of entertaining the town.
More than 2,000 people visited 50 events around Trowbridge, from music, art and drama to performances and workshops.
Festival director Tracy Sullivan said: “It has gone really well and we have already had comments from people who feel it has got stronger.
“The profile has been better and more people knew about it than last year. There was an eclectic mix of professionals and the community working together.
“The events were really well supported and we were helped by a number of partners.”
The festival culminated in performances by comedian Stephen K Amos at Trowbridge Civic Centre on Saturday and musician John Etheridge at the Arc Theatre on Sunday.
Mrs Sullivan: “The highlight was the week-long arts exhibition in Town Hall.
“Over 60 artists –students, semi-professionals and professionals – showcased their work, pulling in 600 visitors. It is important to have a face or two that people recognise, but it is more important to have local community groups pulling together.”
Mrs Sullivan said the festival next year would be on the same dates, October 18 to November 3.
She added: “We are really keen to build a strong committee for next year. We are going to look at how we structure the committee and people will take on different areas. We don’t want people to feel disenfranchised.
“On-going funding is something we will need to look at. Legal and General have supported us both years, with £2,500, and we are very grateful for that.”
