Nominations are open for Trowbridge’s annual Civic and Town Enhancement Awards, which will be presented at the Mayor’s Civic Dinner on March 15.
The Civic Award, which is run by the town council, recognises people who have made a contribution to the welfare of the people of Trowbridge.
Their work may have come from a direct or indirect effort, in the form of community services, charitable work, a personal effort or any act of self-sacrifice.
The Town Enhancement Award is given for a development that is found to have significantly enhanced Trow-bridge. It consists of a wall plaque and framed certificate for the owner, architect or the contractor of the winning development.
Those developments may be a housing estate, a building, the refurbishment of an existing building, a road improvement scheme, a landscaping scheme or an envir- onmental scheme, possibly including street furniture and flower beds.
Official proposal forms are available from Trowbridge Town Council, the Civic Centre and St Stephen’s Place.
Alternatively, people can call on 01225 765072 or visit www.trowbridge.gov.uk Forms must be completed by a proposer and seconder, who must be residents of Trowbridge, and a member of the council, before being returned to council secretary, Trish Carpenter, by December 31.
