Pantomime principal Ellen Wilkinson, 11, is following in her mother’s dance steps by starring in the latest Footlights production.
She takes on the role of Dill, the part her mother Caroline had when the Footlights last staged the show – when she was just a baby.
Caroline runs the Footlights dance group in Trowbridge, which each year puts on a pantomime to give about 60 youngsters confidence and the chance to perform on stage. She said: “It is so lovely to bring on children to be able to take to the stage and it’s extra rewarding to have my own daughter taking on such a major role.”
Jack in the Beanstalk opens on Thursday, November 14 at the Arc Theatre, Trowbridge and runs till November 17. Tickets are still available from www.arctheatre.org.uk
