On Saturday the villagers of Bratton were able to produce delicious fresh apple juice from the many varieties being grown in Reeves Orchard, in the village.
The equipment was provide by Cllr Amanda Callard, and the juicing was done by the villagers with the help of other members of the parish council.
By the end of the day about 50 litres of apple juice had been produced and taken away by satisfied parishioners.
The success of the project could mean the juicing day becomes an annual event, as it is an excellent way to use the superb crop the orchard supplies each year and give something back to the village.
