Trowbridge Oaks Care Home will provide activities for the elderly community next week as part of a Winter Wellness campaign.
The campaign, run by Bupa in partnership with older people’s charity the Royal Voluntary Service, aims to encourage older people to stay both physically and emotionally well during winter.
On Thursday, from 2pm to 4pm, the care home will treat residents to activities including a live musical performance from a local band. Guests will have tea and cakes.
Free copies of the Winter Warmer Recipe Booklet, which details affordable and easy-to-make dishes, will be available.
Siobhan Drane, community and partnerships manager at Bupa Care Services said: “As well as giving practical advice, it’s important to improve the feel-good factor among elderly communities through social events.”
From Wednesday to Friday Westbury Residential and Nursing Home will also mark Winter Wellness Week.
