Wiltshire Police have confirmed the victim of a hit-and-run incident in Bradford on Avon on Saturday is a 30-year-old man from Trowbridge.
The man suffered a broken leg when he was hit by a car which failed to stop outside the Beef and Barge in Trowbridge Road at 9.44pm.
He was treated at the scene by paramedics and taken to Royal United Hospital in Bath for treatment for a broken tibia and fibula.
PC Gary Treherne, of Wiltshire Police, said: "A small hatchback, light in colour with black trim struck a male at the location, causing him major injuries.
"It didn't stop, and the driver would have been fully aware as the vehicle sustained some damage, and left debris at the scene."
Anyone with information is asked to contact PC Treherne on 101, or anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
