WESTBURY’S main Post Office branch at the Co-op in Kingfisher Drive reopened a day ahead of schedule after closing for refurbishment last week.
It coincided with closures of branches at The Ham and Dilton Marsh.
The Post Office put on a temporary bus service from the Co-op to the Post Office in College Road, Trowbridge.
Things are also looking up for villagers in Dilton Marsh, with confirmation that negotiations with an interested party to save Dilton Marsh Stores have started.
Landlord Chris Brown said: “We have someone very interested in acquiring the shop and negotiations are now ongoing between ourselves, our solicitors and the Post Office.
“The new owners very much want it to be a local village shop where possible, selling locally sourced fresh food.”
