A saucy Wiltshire calendar featuring local women stripping off for charity has gone global, according to the photographer who produced it.

Trowbridge snapper David Betteridge has produced a Foxy Hunters calendar for the last five years, and is now finding demand for his provocative black and white shots is so great he has had to double the calendar’s production.

It raises money for the Wiltshire and Hampshire Air Ambulances, and has attracted more than 50,000 likes on Facebook. Mr Betteridge said: “We are doubling the print run from what it was last year, which was 1,000.

“I had virtually sold them all before we printed them, which is largely down to the new Facebook group which has really taken off in a big way.”

He started the calendar after the air ambulance saved the life of a friend, who was seriously injured in a horseriding accident.

He said: “Now my market is primarily online – I have orders from all around the world, we send them to New Zealand, to Australia, and a lot to America and Canada.

“We also have people that come through the Facebook group and offer to be in it, and they come from all around the country, but most of the women in it are still from Wiltshire.

“I am very, very fortunate as I have a lot of people who are willing to assist, and they lend me their yards and farms, but I couldn’t do it without the support of my wife; if she thought that it wasn’t appropriate, we would not be doing it.”

The calendar will be available to buy for £12.50 from www.foxyhunters.co. uk, with copies soon to be available from Corsham’s Wadswick County Stores, and from Countrywide in Melksham.
