A ‘MESSAGE in a Bottle’ could help save the lives of elderly and vulnerable people living alone this winter.
The scheme aims to encourage people living on their own to keep basic and personal medical details in a common location inside their fridge, where it can easily be found in an emergency by a paramedic or other healthcare professional.
Bottles are being distributed across the county by the South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust, and are available free from health centres, doctors’ surgeries and chemists.
