A Fall Ball held by a group who dubbed themselves the Bradford Belles has raised over £6,000 for the Wessex Multiple Sclerosis Centre.

Styled on an autumn theme, and attended by guests from across the county, the evening far exceeded their target.

The MS centre, in Warminster, offers long term management of pain and other symptoms through physiotherapy, oxygen therapy, reflexology, massage therapy and counselling, and also offers a supportive environment for family, friends and carers.

Chris Aslett, the main organiser of the Fall Ball, herself diagnosed with MS in 2006 said: “After benefiting from attending the centre I wanted to give something back. The centre is all about living positively with MS, so I thought, let’s have a ball!”

The black tie night, with entertainments, a luxury raffle and auction at the Trowbridge Civic Centre, drew a capacity crowd.

Centre manager Rosie Eliot was auctioneer. Businesses from the Bradford on Avon, Bath, and Trowbridge areas were generous with their donations and The Bradford Belles would especially like to thank Corsham Print for sponsoring all their publicity material.
