Vandals have broken into St John’s Evangelical Church in High Street, Sutton Veny, for the second time in a few months.
The offenders entered the church sometime between 9am and 3pm on Friday and pulled down notices before writing a obsecene message in the visitor’s book.
The church was previously targeted on August 14, when obscene pictures and two names were written on the walls with a drawing pin.
Inspector Alan Webb said: “This is disappointing, the church is open in order that those who need or want to use it are able to, there can be no excuse for behaviour like this.
“It has been noted that damage of this nature is taking place at times of school holidays or closures. I would ask parents in the area to speak to your children and see if they have any knowledge of what has taken place.”
Police are asking anyone with information to contact 101.
