Visitors to County Hall in Trowbridge were given free medial advice as part of World Stroke Day on Tuesday.
Health experts were on hand to offer guidance to those recovering from a stroke.
Advice was given to help prevent people from having strokes and remind people of the best course of action if they are around someone who they believe has had a stroke.
Wiltshire Councillor Keith Humphries, cabinet member for public health, said: “The main thing is that we keep getting these messages out there and that the support for stroke survivors is available.”
Information was also provided about exercise classes for stroke survivors which run at leisure centres across Wiltshire.
John Goodall, Wiltshire Council public health associate director, said: “One of public healths main priorities is to prevent strokes and support those who have had them.”
A stroke focus event for patients, carers, health groups and volunteer organisations is running at Devizes Sports Club, London Road, between 10.30am and 3.30pm.
