Southern Electric Power Distribution has restored power at a further 4,000 homes across the south west following yesterday’s storm.
Around 110,000 properties suffered electricity cuts after winds of over 80mph hit the country as part of St Jude’s storm.
Engineers are still working to restore power to around 6,000 homes.
Homes in Melksham, Corsham, Chippenham, Trowbridge, Bradford Leigh, Pewsey and Atworth lost power following the storm.
Neil Anderson, Southern Electric spokesperson, said: "Our engineers have been working hard through the night.
"They have found lots of overhead damage due to failing trees but they are making good progress."
Southern Electric have had around 1,100 engineers working on the problems caused by the storm.
Anyone wishing to report an electricity problem related to the storm can call Southern Electric on 0800 072 7282.
