Engineers worked through the night to restore power to Wiltshire households affected by St Jude’s storm.
Around 110,000 homes across the south west lost power as winds of over 80mph hit the country yesterday.
Last night, Southern Electric Power Distribution (SEPD) team of 1,100 engineers had restored power in all but around 10,000 homes.
Homes in Melksham, Corsham, Chippenham, Trowbridge, Bradford Leigh, Pewsey and Atworth lost power following the storm.
The electricity supplier aims to have power back at all houses today.
Anyone wishing to report an electricity problem to Southern Electric can call 0800 072 7282.
