A group of Palestinian dancers have experienced life at St Augustine’s School, Trowbridge during a week-long visit.
The 15 Hakaya dancers arrived on Sunday, as part of the Youth Sports and Dance Festival organised by Bradford on Avon Friends of Palestine and Bethlehem B&NES Links.
The group, hosted by pupils, attended assemblies, interacted with the pupils and visited area attractions, including Bristol, where they visited the Palestinian Embassy.
They performed at the Wiltshire Music Centre in Bradford on Avon and performed with dancers from the Bethlehem B&NES Links at St Gregory’s Catholic College in Bath.
Yazan Mezher, 15, said: “We had an excellent time. We played basketball with the St Augustine children and had lots of fun in the Clarendon pool.”
