Following her success during the Wylye Valley Art Trail in May, Westbury artist Helen Chester is holding a new exhibition of her paintings based on the Westbury White Horse.
The 38-year-old, who lives in Ludlow Close, will be showcasing her series of paintings focusing on the iconic landmark at Madame Butterfly in Maristow Street, Westbury.
The exhibition is on display over the next month and until the beginning of December.
Mrs Chester, a former Matravers School pupil, has previously had work featured in the Cardiff Bay Art Trust Collection.
She has also played a part in the White Horse and Hill Figures exhibition at the Wiltshire Heritage Centre.
Working in oil on a board, with gold leaf, her paintings take elements from historic buildings in the town to create the famous Westbury White Horse.
Mrs Chester, who studied fine art at Cardiff University, said: “It is lovely to show my work in a local setting, where people see the White Horse every day.
“They will, hopefully, enjoy having a coffee and seeing my work.”
She added: “I had a lot of positive comments during the Wylye Valley Art Trail exhibition, so I wanted to produce some more paintings that are smaller in scale and better suited to the intimate interior of Madame Butterfly.”
