Pupils from The Mead Community Primary School joined HRH Duchess of Cornwall and a host of stars to celebrate British Food Fortnight in a harvest service at Westminster Abbey last Wednesday, when 18 of them presented a harvest box of food, some of it grown in the school’s gardens.
Celebrities attending the service included The Hairy Biker Dave Myers, actor Martin Clunes, presenters from CBBC’s Blue Peter and Newsround and Greg Wallace from Masterchef.
The harvest boxes were later distributed to members of the community by the Royal Voluntary Service.
