A large fallen tree caused the A365 road between the Five Ways junction and Henley Lane towards Box to be closed for several hours this morning, resulting in traffic tailbacks.
An ambulance crew travelling along the road alerted the police to the fallen tree at about 4.30am, which caused a lorry to get stuck as the driver was unable to reverse.
Wiltshire Council and the Highways Agency were notified by the police about the incident and attended the scene at 5.20am. The tree has now been removed and the road was reopened at about 8.30am.
