FRP Advisory, the specialist restructuring and recovery firm, has confirmed that The Angel Inn in Upton Scudamore entered administration on October 4, due to a recent deterioration in general trading conditions.
FRP Advisory partners Chris Stevens and Ian Vickers have been appointed as joint administrators of the company, whose principal asset is The Angel Inn, the restored 16th century pub situated in Warminster.
The company continues to trade as a going concern while the joint administrators seek a purchaser for the business.
It employees 25 members of staff at the point of entering administration and the administrators are looking to save the jobs of current employees and preserve the business as a trading public house and ten bedroom inn.
Chris Stevens, partner at FRP Advisory, and joint administrator to the Company, said: “The Angel Inn continues to service the local area and enjoys a loyal customer base but has recently suffered from the wider downturn in trade affecting the pubs industry.
“By entering into administration, the Company can continue to trade while the joint administrators seek a buyer.”
