TWO brothers have become the first to have their names engraved on a new trophy, after winning the public vote at North Bradley Primary School’s Scarecrow Trail.
Year 5 pupil Calum Duncan and his brother Samuel, from Year 2, won first prize in the annual competition with the Despicable Me ‘Minion’ scarecrows, and were presented with the school’s new trophy this week.
The trail ran on the weekend of September 21/ 22, and raised over £1,400 for the extension project.
Jackie Stocker, friends’ association treasurer, said: “This is the fourth year we have done it, and it seems to attract more and more people, but this was our first time with the trophy.”
The brothers’ entry was voted best scarecrow by visitors to the trail, while Kate Hanny and her son Noah won £50 for the most correct answers.
