Clean-up volunteers in Melksham could soon swap trash for show tickets, with the introduction of a scheme to encourage community engagement.
The town council has given £205 towards the creation of a community clean-up project, in which groups would give their time to tidy the town and be rewarded with discounted tickets to shows at the Assembly Hall.
Litter pickers, high-visibility jackets and bin bags will be available from the town hall for any group that wants them.
The plan comes just weeks after Melksham won silver in South West in Bloom at its first attempt.
Funding for equipment was secured with a £1,162 grant from the Melksham Area Board.
Details of the scheme will be available at the town hall soon.
