Using the Westbury Leigh relief road is equal in distance to using the main road through the village.
The traffic engineers have agreed to install diversion signs by the Elkins roundabout but they are saying that they are not necessary at the Tanyard end, in Dilton Marsh, their reasoning being that not so much traffic travels that way.
It is common sense that the regular traffic I see use the village as a ‘rat run’. I would like some stronger system of education for the traffic to be advised to use the relief road which, I repeat, is no farther to travel and is easier than having to fight with the parked vehicles in the village.
