A man has been released on bail after admitting assaulting the landlord of a Melksham pub.
Simon Smith pleaded guilty to a charge of grievous bodily harm when he appeared before a judge at Swindon Crown Court last Friday.
The 28-year-old, of Russell Court, Warminster, assaulted Antony Dobbin, who runs the Pig and Whistle, on Sunday, March 31.
The case was adjourned to Monday, November 18 and Smith was released on bail on condition he does not contact Mr Dobbin or go to the pub.
