Police appeal after woman assaulted at Warminster railway station
Wiltshire Police is appealing for witnesses after a woman was assaulted at Warminster Rail Station last Tuesday.
The 28-year-old woman was assaulted by a man on Platform 2 at 9.30pm on Tuesday, October 8, but did not sustain any injuries.
A 37-year-old local man was arrested on suspicion of common assault and has since been released, pending further enquiries.
CI Peter Ellison said: “The incident happened on a busy train station platform and I am keen to speak to anyone who was at the station or the nearby taxi rank at the time.”
Any witnesses are asked to contact CI Peter Ellison at the Local Crime Team at Melksham Police Station on 101.
