Police have issued an appeal for witnesses after reopening the section of the A350 which saw a fatal head-on collision this morning.
At around 6.15am an orange and white MAN articulated lorry, owned by Framptons Transport Services, was travelling north on the A350 when it collided head-on with a silver Toyota Yaris at Hagg Hill near to the junction with Common Hill.
The male driver, who has yet to be identified, died at the scene.
The driver of the lorry, a 65-year-old man from the Frome area, was not injured.
The road was closed for about eight hours to allow officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Team (SCIT) to examine the scene.
Anyone who may have witnessed the collision or events immediately prior to it is asked to contact PC David Williams of SCIT on 101.
