Firefighters teamed up with Kingdown School students at Warminster Fire Station for a charity car wash.
The pupils were from Everest 2014, a team of 24 children and three staff who are fundraising for an expedition to Mount Everest in December 2014.
As part of the challenge, sponsored by RACS Group, they are raising money for Children’s Hospice South West and Dorothy House Hospice.
The car wash, at the station in The Portway last Saturday, raised £266, to be shared by the two Everest 2014 charities and the Fire Fighters Charity.
Watch manager Chris Trimby said: “We had around 40 vehicles during the four hours, which was a manageable amount, and luckily we had pretty much ideal conditions for washing cars.”
