Police are dealing with major traffic congestion on the roads around Trowbridge this morning after a manwas killed following a collision on the A350.

The incident involving a articulated lorry and a silver Toyota car happened between Hagg Hill and Stoney Gutter at 6.20am.

The man driving the Toyota was pronounced dead at the scene. 

Wiltshire Police is currently investigating the incident with motorists advised to avoid the area as the A350 is currently shut between the Semington roundabout and the West Ashton crossroads which has caused major delays.

Police advise that the road is expected to be closed until at least noon while the lorry, owned by Framptons Transport Services, is removed and the Serious Collision Investigation Team examine the scene.
