Police are appealing for more information regarding a suspicious incident in Westleigh, Warminster, on July 31.
At approximately 7pm last Wednesday, a car was parked on the entrance to the Westleigh estate facing Pound Street. The male driver beckoned to a nine-year-old local boy to get into the car.
Fortunately the young boy knew not to go near strangers and ran home safely. The car is described as green and possibly a five door hatchback.
The man is described as white, aged in his late thirties. He wore glasses and a 'snow' type hat.
Inspector Alan Webb said: “Local officers have been carrying out their investigation in the area, including looking at CCTV and conducting house to house enquiries.
“However, we are still appealing for any information regarding this man or the vehicle and ask that the public are vigilant and report any suspicious activity.”
Anyone with information is asked to contact PC Mark Rawstron on 101. Alternatively, contact Crimestoppers 0800 555111, where details may be left anonymously if preferred.
