A man who is accused of assaulting a Melksham landlord has been released on bail by a judge on condition he stays out of the pub.
Simon Smith is charged with grievous bodily harm in relation to the alleged incident at the Pig and Whistle.
The 28-year-old, of Russell Court, Warminster, is said to have assaulted Antony Dobbin on Sunday March 31.
No charges were formally put to Smith during the brief hearing at Swindon Crown Court and he did not enter a plea.
Judge Douglas Field adjourned the case to October 11 and released him on bail on condition he does not contact Mr Dobbin or go to the pub.
