A cat which spent two days up a tree in Westbury was finally rescued on Sunday, after specialist equipment was summoned from Swindon.
The RSPCA called a fire crew to Leighton Green, where the cat had been stuck since Friday, on Sunday shortly after 2pm.
The crew’s 12 metre-long ladders were too short to reach the cat, so a hydraulic lifting appliance was called from Swindon.
An RSPCA officer was lifted up to help the cat.
