A commumity has come together to fund a new kissing gate in Trowbridge.

Residents raised £240 to pay for the gate from Boundary Walk to a North Bradley field, after the work was agreed by the landowner, George Reece. The gate will give walkers easy access to the field.

Neil Vaughan, 21, who lives on the estate, carried out the work with his friend Shaun Ingram, 25.

Builder Mr Vaughan said: “We were really pleased to help out, as this will make a big difference to a lot of people’s lives and shows all the community coming together.”

Trowbridge Town and Wiltshire Councillor Jeff Osborn praised the people of his ward: “This is a great thing and I wish we had more people like these doing things which will improve Trowbridge.”
