Melksham Without Parish Council has given £250 to the 1st Bowerhill Scouts, to help them carry on camping.
Scout Josh Burton, 12, and his six-year-old Beaver brother Joel accepted the cheque from council vice-chairman John Glover last Monday, on behalf of the group.
Scouts secretary Rachel Burton said: “We try to fundraise whenever possible and have done bag-packing, car washing, a sponsored bike ride, bingo and textile collecting.
“However our budget is always tight and we are very grateful to the council for this grant. The money will enable us to update our camping equipment for next year’s group camp.”
