Supermarket worker Kacper Bochen had a unique opportunity to relive 2012’s golden summer last week, when he presented winners medals at the Olympic Stadium.
The Melksham Sainsbury’s employee presented the winner’s medal to Paralympic bronze medalist shot-putter Aled Davies at the Anniversary Games in London on Sunday, which were sponsored by the supermarket.
Mr Bochen said: “There were only seven of us from the whole company selected to be there.
“I found out two weeks ago after I was nominated by my manager, Steve Packman, so it was quite a nice surprise.
“I’ve never been to the stadium before and I didn’t really know what to expect, but it was amazing; we got there at noon and it didn’t start until 3pm, but once everyone had turned up the roar of the crowd whenever any Brits were competing was incredible.
“It was a fantastic experience, a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.”
