The Village Pump Folk Festival struck the right note with revellers last night.
The annual event, which takes place at Westbury's White Horse Country Park, welcomed around 2,000 people on its opening night.
The festival, which runs until Sunday, enjoyed performances from Steve Knightley, Little Johnny England and duo Phillip Henry and Hannah Martin amongst others.
Miss Martin, who performed on the main stage, said: "It's really fantastic to be back at this lovely festival and play to such a great crowd."
As well as music, taking place across two stages and a club tent, the festival homes a variety of clothing stalls and craft workshops.
Trowbridge based Arty Kids are running a pottery painting stall on site throughout the festival.
Simon Evans, from Arty Kids, said: "Everything has gone great so far and there's been a wonderful atmosphere on site.
"The painting has proved really popular as it gives kids something different to do during the festival and gives their parents a bit of time to enjoy the music."
Today's festivities, taking place at the site based under the Westbury White Horse, will see iconic Scottish band The Proclaimers performing as well as Eric Bibb and the Nic Jones Trio amongst others.
Chris Fleming, 29, from Trowbridge, is camping at the festival all weekend with wife Melissa, 23, and their two children four-year-old Freddy and two-year-old Cameron.
He said: "This is the first time we've ever come to anything like this as a family and we are having a great time.
"It's a fantastic fun event, in a lovely setting and the music has been first rate."
