A walker has challenged two cyclists to a race from Westminster to Bath in aid of the Bath Cancer Unit.
Nigel Arbury, from Frome, will set off on the 160-mile walk from the Houses of Parliament at 1.30pm on September 12 with the aim of arriving at the Royal United Hospital (RUH) just before 1.30pm on September 14.
Mr Arbury challenged two of his cyclist friends – Stuart Mardon, from Bath, and Tom Barnard, from Chippenham – to race him back to Bath on a 250-mile route, with the pair only travelling during daylight hours on fixed gear bikes.
The trio all work for Wilts Electrical Wholesalers in Trowbridge, and the company is providing sponsorship.
