A shop in Bradford on Avon selling arts and crafts made and sold by local people is looking to expand into a community hub and is asking for the town to help them.
Made in Bradford on Avon, in Lamb Yard, is hoping to raise £200,000 to secure the purchase of the Vaults next door by holding auctions, art exhibitions, raffles and cake sales.
They startwith a quiz on Thursday and co-ordinator Wellie O’Driscoll said: “Moving is just going to showcase our community involvement and commitment.”
Despite moving into the current shop only 14 months ago they have outgrown the space and want to move into the Vaults to run workshops, musical performances, house exhibitions and to have retail space.
There will be many more fundraising events in the coming months but Made in Bradford wants to hear from people who want to be involved or create a fundraising event of their own.
Contact the shop on 01225 282801.
