Melksham's Town Crier Peter Dauncey will be taking on an additional role as crier for Tetbury, Gloucestershire.
Mr Dauncey, who has been Melksham’s crier since 2006, will take up the extra duties on behalf of Tetbury Town Council following the retirement of their crier due to poor health.
Melksham will remain his premier town, with civic events in the town taking priority over any new duties.
The move was given unanimous approval by Melksham Town Council on Monday.
