A woman from Westbury received a two-year conditional discharge and was ordered to pay more than £17,000 back in benefits after being found guilty of fraud on July 4.
Amanda Norton, 37, of Springfield Road, Westbury, was found guilty at North West Wiltshire Magistrates Court.
Norton failed to notify the council and DWP that she was living with her partner and continued to claim income support, to which she was not entitled, and so was overpaid £5,008.03.
She also claimed housing and council tax benefits she was not entitled to, leading to a £12,317.73 overpayment.
She was given a two-year conditional discharge and told to repay £17,325.46 to the DWP and Wiltshire Council.
