A woman accused of starting a fire at flats in Trowbridge has been released on bail by a judge.
Kerry Baker is charged with endangering life in connection with the blaze at Charlotte Square on January 4.
The 23-year-old faces allegations of arson with intent to endanger life and arson being reckless as to whether life was endangered.
No charges were formally put to Baker and she did not enter any pleas during her brief appearance at Swindon crown court.
Mike Jeary, defending, said they were keen to speak to two men who assisted other residents leave the building as they gave the police false names and addresses.
Judge Euan Ambrose adjourned the case to Friday, September 20 and released Baker, who gave the court an address in Charlotte Square, on bail.
The fire to the ground floor flat, belonging to Selwood Housing, caused about £2,000 damage.
The fire brigade were called to the scene shortly after 11pm on the Friday night and used six hose reels to extinguish the blaze.
No-one else was injured as a result of the fire, which was thought to have been started in a bed, but ten other tenants in the building had to be temporarily evacuated.
