Splitz Support Service has raised £2,300 as Sainsbury’s charity of the year in its Bradford on Avon branch.
Just over £1,330 was raised with public donations and the rest was came through the charity’s young people bag packing and selling cakes.
Kim Patton, co-ordinator of young people’s service at Splitz, said: “We will use the money to take the children on trips and activities. We are really grateful for the money raised.
“It was nice for them to choose us as charity of the year and the staff have been really helpful.”
The branch’s next charity of this year, from June 2013 to June 2014, is Freewheelers, an emergency volunteer service providing a free out-of-hours motorcycle courier service to hospitals in the South West.
