Interest is rising in a Melksham accountancy firm, following the appointment of new head of tax Elaine Kinsella.
The 46-year-old mum of three, pictured below, has joined Old Mill accountants, who also have offices across the South West.
She started her career at PriceWaterhouseCoopers in 1988 where she trained as a chartered accountant and tax advisor, before moving to KPMG and Capital One Bank. She now specialises in international corporate tax, and lives in south Somerset with her three school-age children.
She said: “The client list at Old Mill is also very impressive; the South West is home to some established and successful businesses as well as some inspiring entrepreneurs.
“My aim is to create an inspiring environment for the whole team to feel we can enjoy our work, perform at the top of our game and maintain a work life balance.
“I think it is good for people just starting out in the profession and for those with young families, to see a mother in a leadership role in a great firm.”
Old Mill tax partner Bruce Lockhart welcomed Mrs Kinsella’s down to earth and professional approach. He said: “Elaine has extensive knowledge of owner managed businesses and corporate international tax, so her expertise here will greatly compliment our tax offering, and as a successful mum of three she is a great example to our younger staff.”
