A TASTY treat awaited residents who helped give the Studley Green Resource Centre in Trowbridge a fresh lick of paint.

Selwood Housing, which owns the building, asked for help from its tenants to spruce up the community facility, in Manor Road, serving pie and chips to those volunteers who helped out.

Barry Hughes, the organisation’s chief executive, said that the effort was a big success and that he was pleased by how their Pie and Paint Day went.

He said: “The pies have been eaten, the paint has dried and tenants are welcome to get in touch about using the facilities.”

The resource centre runs a computer club, a credit union workshop and coffee mornings as well as other community classes.
