A local team of fire-fighters has tackled the Three Peaks Challenge.
Seven walkers and two support drivers conquered Ben Nevis in Scotland, Scafell Pike in the Lake District and Snowdon in Wales in 23 hours and 11 minutes, earning them bronze medals.
Firefighter Ian Fitzgerald, from Bradford on Avon fire station, said: “We couldn’t have done the challenge without the help of Rygor in Westbury, who lent us a minibus for the weekend.
“We’re also very grateful to everyone who sponsored us – we think we’ve raised about £1,300 for the Fire Fighters Charity!”
The team, pictured from left, were Jason Brendish, Kieran Humphries, Steve Otterwell, Lucy Daulton, Paul Peche, Jenny Fitz-gerald, Ian Fitzgerald and Dan Epps.
There is still time to sponsor the team, via www. virginmoneygiving.com/ wiltsfirethreepeaks
