The Ambassador Theatre Group will be holding open auditions on Saturday (July 13) at Cardiff New Theatre for the chance to join the cast of the Rocky Horror Show on stage, as part of the 40th Anniversary UK Tour.

The producers will ask those auditioning to firstly perform The Time Warp as part of a group with other performers for the chance to go through to the second round.

They will then get to perform one solo number, from a choice of four Rocky Horror songs; Science Fiction, Touch Me, Sweet Transvestite or Once In A While.

One male and one female will be selected from the auditions to perform their song on stage in front of an audience of over 1,000 Rocky Horror fans, as part of the show finale on August 20, at The Bristol Hippodrome.

To enter the open auditions, performers need to register online at www.rockyhorror.co.uk/auditions. Registration closes tomorrow.

Hopefuls should arrive at the Cardiff New Theatre, Park Place, Cardiff CF10 3LN at 9.30am on Saturday.

The audition panel will comprise of Rocky Horror Show Director Chris Luscombe, Musical Director Tony Castro and Choreographer Nathan Wright.

Audition places are limited and everyone who auditions should be dressed as a Rocky Horror Show character.

When the Rocky Horror Show 40th Anniversary Tour arrives at The Bristol Hippodrome, Ben Forster, winner of ITV1’s Superstar and star of the global arena tour Jesus Christ Superstar, will have returned to the role of Brad.

Director of The Rocky Horror Show, Christopher Luscombe, will star as The Narrator in his first stage role in over a decade, along with Rhydian as Rocky and Rachel Grundy as Janet.
