If being crowned Wimbledon champion this weekend wasn’t enough for Andy Murray, the tennis superstar can now add having a Melksham Road named after him to his growing list of accomplishments.
The picture of the roadsign on Murray Walk, Melksham, has already proved a hit online, after it was tweeted by Sarah Cardy, of nearby Forest Road.
She said: “It was my mum’s idea.
“She came to see me to watch the game and saw the road. She said Melksham’s already celebrating, and suggested we could put a new sign on it.
“I shared it on Twitter and all sorts of people are commenting on it; it’s really got people taking.”
