THE show will go on despite hard times for a group that has inspired hundreds of talented performers to take to the stage.
Starry Eyes was formed in Trowbridge six years ago and as well as giving young people the chance to shine, has also given many something to focus on rather than hanging around the streets.
Funding problems over the past year mean the group can no longer afford to put on its annual show at the Civic Hall but organisers have found an alternative stage at the Wesley Road Club. Founder Sally Boyle said: "We have decided to go back to basics rather than not have a show at all."
Starry Eyes has been credited by the police with helping to reduce crime in the Longfield area of the town.
The project has also been featured by the Guinness Housing Trust in a promotional video highlighting what community projects can achieve in bringing people together and tackling anti-social behaviour.
For more information visit www.staryeyesperformancefoundation.org.uk or call Sally Boyle on (01225) 763720. The show will take place at The Wesley Road Club at 7.30pm on December 15.
